Comptche Community Hall (CCH)

Facilities

The best way to determine the suitability of the Hall for your event is to talk with our site administrator who maybe reached by leaving a message at telephone 707-937-2929 or writing to P.O. Box 346, Comptche CA 95427-0346.

Parking is limited to 35 vehicles.
Recommended capacity is 75.  

Room Rental Rates

            Cleaning deposit of $100 and proof of liability insurance required for all rentals 7 days in advance. A signed Rental Contract and Addendum are also required. A Certificate of Liability Insurance listing CCO as Additional Insured for rental date. The Certificate should be mailed to CCO, P.O. Box 346, Comptche CA 95427 and show the CCH address of 30672 Comptche Ukiah Road. Please list a CCO Director, if necessary.

Comptche District Resident:

            $150 per day – Dance Hall
            $150 per day – Dining Room & Temporary Kitchen
OR
            $300 per day Entire Building

Out-of-Comptche District Resident:

            $200 per day – Dance Hall
            $200 per day – Dining Room & Temporary Kitchen
OR
            $400 per day Entire Building

Rental Restrictions

Acoustic music is always permitted. Amplified music must be presented and approved by the CCO Board of Directors at the regularly scheduled monthly public meeting.

Power Outage

Outage of electricity will make Rental Contract null and void.  Prepaid amounts will be refunded.

Additional parking may be available with adjacent property owners. Please request this

Comptche is unique because on many days when the coast is foggy, Comptche is bright, sunny, and the CCO Hall is located in a quiet, isolated area.

Business Accomplishments Resume

• The Comptche Community Center was deeded by Eiler Oppenlander to the Community Hall Association back in 1912. The Main Hall was completed in 1913 to serve as a dance hall.

• The Comptche Grange #671 began meeting at the Hall in the 1938. The Hall was not officially deeded to the Grange until 1954 by Lena Menishnik.

• CCO followed the steps necessary to incorporate and be granted a 5-year advanced ruling as a 501(c) (3) publically supported charitable organization from the Internal Revenue Service within 8 months of our inception.

• May 8, 1999 Benefit Dinner highly successful raising over $2000 to spend towards development of a public picnic area on the CCSD property beside the Firehouse.

• Y2K Party found CCO, CVFD, Chapel of the Redwoods and Grange Members working together to sponsor a Potluck which helped to keep families in area because of the unknown which could have occurred at the turn of the century. CCO grossed $506, of these funds, $142.68 was in the donation jar.

• May 6, 2000 Benefit Dinner raised $1600 towards Community Projects, less than last year, however some donated items are reusable at future events.
